Nelson high school student wins Western Canadian scholarship
Glen Darough, broker owner of RE/MAX RHC Realty, announced that L.V. Rogers student Christina Musa is one of the 16 students chosen from Western Canada to receive the RE/MAX 2012 Quest for Excellence bursary valued at $1,000.
The annual RE/MAX Quest for Excellence program encourages graduating students from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest and Yukon Territories to write an essay and convey the contributions they have made to their communities. The key qualities these students have demonstrated are leadership, motivation and communication skills.
“Over 900 entries were received this year,” says Marie Sheppy, senior coordinator, corporate affairs, RE/MAX of Western Canada. “These astounding young adults have donated their personal time to volunteer in charitable fundraising or events. Their efforts have enriched the lives of others and have made a positive impact on their communities.”
“RE/MAX understands the importance of building an outstanding future, and we are proud to be able to help these exceptional students reach their post secondary goals”, says Elton Ash, regional executive vice president, RE/MAX of Western Canada.
