Kootenay collector shows treasure chest
Salmo and Nelson area history buffs descended on Don Endersby’s farm at Meadows Junction on Sunday for a first-hand look at West Kootenay’s largest private museum.
Recently seen on Canadian Pickers (Endersby declined to sell anything), the property boasts a massive collection of machinery, vehicles, mining equipment, and grocery store items — as well as a Westman and Baker press, manufactured in Toronto prior to 1922, and reportedly used to publish the Trail Daily Times or one of its predecessors.
These photos will appear in the West Kootenay Advertiser on June 7.
