Rotary gives to skatepark, issues challenge to other Nelson clubs
Jim Reimer of Nelson Daybreak Rotary (centre) presents a cheque for $10,000 to Claire de La Salle and Rob Levesque of the Kootenay Lake Outdoor Skate Park Society, to go towards installing a skatepark near the Nelson Community Complex. KLOSPS is just $90,000 shy of their goal to raise the $600,000 for project. Reimer is challenging other service groups to match Rotary’s donation, so KLOSPS can break ground on the skatepark this year.
