Rec Leadership students organized the second annual Christmas fundraiser earlier this month. With events including a pancake breakfast, silent auction, Christmas crafts, bake sale, children’s games and pictures with Santa the group managed to raise over $1,700: $500 was donated to Nelson Salvation Army and $1,200 to Nelson KidSport. All unsold baked goods were donated to the Salvation Army, and all unopened juice boxes, hot chocolate and tea was given to the Nelson Food Cupboard. Congratulations and thanks to everyone that supported the students.
