The most startling demonstration of the morning was the creation of a huge fireball (which had dissipated somewhat by the time the camera caught it) from heat

Jess Sashaw and Charlotte Swanson of Vancouver’s Science World are touring the province giving 45-minute shows about science to school kids and appeared Tuesday morning at Nelson’s Hume school.

This presentation was about weather. “It’s so great, we meet new kids everyday,” says Swanson. “It is usually a short interaction but we try to bring open inquiry into our shows, asking lots of questions to get them thinking about the science all around them.”
