Gabriel Macdonald named Nelson's Best Singer
Seventeen-year-old Gabriel Macdonald won first place in the Nelson's Best Singer Contest and will move onto the Kootenay Championship along with second place winner, Charlie Pears-Smith, 18. In third and fourth place were Emma Chart, 15, and Tyler Isaacs-Dejong, 19, respectively. Sixteen singers competed for the title in front of a nearly-sold out crowd at the Capitol Theatre on Thursday night. The finals will be held in Cranbook on June 1.
