Hansen tour exits Nelson
The Rick Hansen Many in Motion tour said farewell to Nelson on Sunday morning.
The cross-Canada tour that pulled into Nelson on Thursday afternoon spent the weekend in our community. On Sunday morning at 9 am, another group of medal bearers carried the specially designed medal that marks the 25th anniversary of Rick Hansen's Man in Motion tour, wound through the community on its way out of Nelson.
Yellow-clad medal bearers passed the medal from one another through the downtown, Uphill and Rosemont. At the Nelson welcome sign on Highway 3A, the caravan loaded up the medal and headed west to the Crescent Valley.
