Relay for Life takes over Lakeside Park in Nelson
Eighteen teams took part in the annual Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life at Rotary Lakeside Park on a soggy Saturday. Participants circled the park for 12 hours as they remembered past battles, encouraged those currently fighting and celebrated the brave who have beaten the disease. The event raised $25,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
