Riondel man killed in crash

An East Shore man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash near Yahk this week. The BC Corners service says he is Rudi Lauritzen, 64, of Riondel.

He was the driver of a westbound car which was involved in a collision with an eastbound tractor-trailer unit on Highway 3/95 near Irishman's Creek at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Lauritzen died at the scene.

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate.
