Air crews fighting wildfire south of Harrop

The fire was discovered at 4 p.m. Thursday

B.C. Wildfire Service is fighting a 20 hectare fire about eight kilometres south of Harrop.

“At the present moment, although there is considerable amount of smoke visible in the area, there is no imminent threat to any structures or communities,” states a bulletin released at 7:15 Thursday evening by the Regional District of Central Kootenay’s emergency operations centre.
