Supporters of the Jumbo Wild democracy camp rallied at Nelson City Hall on Friday evening, then marched down Baker Street to MarketFest and talked about their cause on the festival stage. The group has been camped out on the road to Farnham Glacier, where they're operating a checkpoint to advice recreationalists of their opposition to Jumbo Glacier Resort. Though the group is not preventing vehicles from passing, some trucks hauling machinery to use on the glacier have turned back as a result of their occupation.
