A familiar face around the Nelson courthouse has been appointed a provincial court judge.
Rob Brown, the federal drug prosecutor for the region, has joined the bench, the Ministry of Justice announced last week.
Brown is a partner in Trail law firm of Thompson, Lerose, and Brown. He earned a law degree from the University of BC in 1979 and for more than 20 years has been an agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
Since 1994, he has practiced family law, criminal defence, and general civil litigation.
