Whitewater Ski Resort says its Silver King Chair will reopen Wednesday.

The 30-year-old chair, which accesses Whitewater’s beginner-friendly runs, was shut down Jan. 19 due to a required repair to its bottom bullwheel.

The repair had been expected to take up to a month but instead was completed less than two weeks after the closure’s announcement, according to a statement Tuesday.

“We are so stoked to get this chair back up and running and can’t wait to get you all back out on the hill. We can’t thank our staff enough for their hard work completing these repairs.”

Summit Chair also remains open but the Glory Chair meanwhile will is out of service due to repairs to the haul rope likely through to Feb. 6.
