Adeline Parker

“ADDIE”


March 10, 1916 – October 8, 2010


Adeline was the fifth of nine children born to Martin and Maria Berkeley in Edmonton, Alberta. She was the last surviving member of her generation of the Berkeley family. Edmonton, Alberta. She was the last surviving member of her generation of the Berkeley family.


Adeline married Robert Earl Parker and relocated to Nelson BC in 1934 where she resided ever since. Robert and Adeline were married for 62 years; Robert passed away Nov. 7th, 1996.


Adeline is survived by their four children who were born in Nelson, BC; William ”Bill” Parker of Vancouver, Roberta “Bobbie” Calderwood of New Westminster, Carole Kingdom of Sussex, New Brunswick and Arlene Dale Parker of Cypress, California. Adeline leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.


Adeline was fortunate to enjoy the last five years or her life in the very caring and supportive environment at Mountain Lake Seniors Community. Addie was able to enjoy her hobbies of gardening, sewing, knitting, cribbage, baking and more with the staff and other residents who became her extended family.


The family extends their sincerest thanks to the incredible staff in Lombardy Cottage for their excellent care of our “family treasure”. There was a Celebration of Life on Friday October 15, 2010 at the Mountain Lake Seniors Community. Memorial Donations may be made to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation www.klhf.org.
