Osellame : Angelina Giovanna - It is with huge sadness that we inform our friends of the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Angelina Giovanna Osellame (nee Pontello), of Salmo, BC on June 25, 2010. Angelina was born on June 24, 1922 in Musano, Treviso Italy. She and her husband Giuseppe (Joe) arrived in Canada (Rossland/Trail) in 1953 and moved to Salmo in 1958, where she resided happily for 52 years. Angelina, also known as "the Flower Lady of Salmo", was known for her unique and effervescent personality, for her generous hospitality and for her compassion for all. Angelina opened up her home and her heart to all of her friends and acquaintances. She exemplified compassion and empathy for children and adults in need. Angelina is predeceased by her beloved husband Joe. She is survived by her loving son Walter (Lil) and grandchildren Leah and Christopher; and her loving daughter Mary (Harold) and grandchildren Kelsey and Michael. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m at the Salmo Valley Youth Community Centre (formerly known as Salmo High School Gymnasium) on 7th Avenue, across from the swimming pool, with Father Fred Doll officiating.
