Age 61

On April 24th, 2016 Bruce passed away at his home in Balfour, B.C. with his loving wife Barb at his side after a short battle with cancer.

Bruce was born in Calgary and relocated to a ranch in Southern Alberta with his parents when he was 15. Bruce spent his teens on the ranch. After grade 12, he worked as a cowboy, logger, and a heavy equipment operator. When he was 23 Bruce joined both his brothers as a member of Calgary Police Service where he worked until he retired in 2004. Bruce met the love of his life, Barb, in 1987 and they married in 1988. After Bruce’s retirement, he and Barb moved to Balfour where they built their retirement home. Bruce then worked part-time at the Balfour golf course. Barb and Bruce traveled and golfed a lot in the years after his retirement. Bruce was pre deceased by his brother Paul, and his father Robert. He is survived by his wife Barb, his mother Betty, his daughter Racheal Price, and his son Aaron Haddow. Also survived by brother Rick (Gail) Haddow, brother Doug (Marla Olson) Haddow, sister Lois (Tim) Klotz, several nieces and nephews, and 2 grandchildren. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Bruce will be laid to rest on the ranch in Willow Valley that he loved so much.  The family thanks Dr. Cochran and his staff for the excellent care given to Bruce during his illness.
