Edward Albert "Ted" Mallett

Edward (Ed) Mallett of Balfour passed away at Kootenay Lake Hospital on July 28, 2016 after a brief illness. Ed was born in Vancouver November 4, 1937 and lived in the Lower Mainland until moving to Balfour in 1999. He was an avid bowler in his younger years and after retirement, he enjoyed gardening and relaxing. He was an active member of the Nelson Eagles.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Joanne, his daughter, Debbie Sharpe (Gord) Kelowna, brother in law Jim Peters (Faye) Fruitvale, niece Stacey Dennis (Mike) and their two children in Alabama, and nephew Jason Peters and his two boys in Edmonton. He is also missed by his furry felines Lucky, Stevie and Mandy. There will of be a Celebration of Ed’s Life at the Eagles Hall, 641 Baker Street, Nelson on August 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM.

Thank you to all the emergency personnel that responded so quickly to our needs, and to Dr.Kirsten for his many years of care and especially his compassionate managing of our care during Ed’s illness.
