Wikstrom-Peter John Peter Wikstrom passed away peacefully on the morning of February 13, 2010 four days before his eighty-fourth birthday. He is survived by his wife Ethel; his three children Phyllis (Bob), Terry (Debbie) and Beryl (Blake); his grandchildren Tracey (Will), Nathan, Sara, Chris (Sonia) and Rachel; his great grandchildren Aidan, Christina, Jacob, Evan and Ryan; and his three brothers Gordon (Jean), Alroy and Laurel and their families. Peter was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan and grew up working on the Wikstrom family farm. He met Ethel in grade five and the rest is history. They married in Kinistino, Saskatchewan in 1945. In 1948 they moved west to Trail, BC with their first child Phyllis. In 1949 Peter began his career at Palm Dairy. The family moved to Nelson in 1959 and that is where Peter would retire after 40 years working at the dairy. Everyone knew Peter; he loved spending his days walking laps around the stores in the mall saying ?Hi? to everyone and giving them a tough time. He also enjoyed having breakfast or coffee in the mornings with his old friends. Peter went through life with a smile on his face and a joke in every pocket.
