It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Clarence Maloney (Bob) on November 2nd, 2010. Bob was born on April 6th, 1947 in Trail BC. Bob grew up in Nelson, where he became an avid skier. Bob moved to Penticton BC as a young adult. Bob spent his career working for Revenue Canada. The

Okanagan was a place that Bob loved. Bob was an active member of the Canadian Youth Soccer Association and spent over 15 years coaching and refereeing soccer in Penticton. Bob loved sunny days on Sunoka Beach, picnics, reading and watching his grandchildren play. His family and friends were very dear to Bob. He loved to visit his young grandchildren, make play doh creations, play cards, and read books together.

Bob is predeceased by his mother, Betty Stewart, father Clare Maloney, and his beloved Connie Lang. May you and Connie rest peacefully together now. You loved her so deeply and you were lost without each other.

Bob is survived by his three children, Sean, Kelly, and Mathew, and his five grandchildren, Emily, Alexis, Seamus, Jack and Piper. Expressions of sympathy may forwarded via email to the family

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in brighter days. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer society, or to the charity of ones choice.
