It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa Pittaro. Her last weeks were spent in comfort at the Aviano Hospice for terminal cancer patients. She died peacefully surrounded by her daughter Rosanna, son-in-law Hassan and her three beloved grandsons on May 17, 2016. Her funeral was held at The Duomo in her hometown of Valvasone, Italy. Rosa was a kind, thoughtful and generous person with endless energy and an easy laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and by those lives she touched. A simple memorial service and the interment of her ashes will take place on Saturday, August 20 at 4:00 pm at Rossland Cemetery. Those who knew Rosa are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
