We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Bill (Lindy) Fedora. He is survived by his loving wife Valerie, and his children Evan and Christy, as well as his sisters Teddy and Shaaron, his brother Jim, and countless nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Bill was born and raised in Saskatoon with his eight brothers and sisters, where he built a reputation for honesty and integrity even in his youth. He had many friends, and was always a leader among them. He moved to B.C. with Valerie in the early 70’s; it was there that he started his family. He was a kind and loving father. He set a strong example for his children, and was always there for them. For Bill, family always came first.

He went into business with his brothers for a time, and then started up a structural steel company, which he ran until his retirement. He earned the respect of all with his competence, his dedication to his craft, and his strong code of honor. He treated his employees as family, and often put their interests first.

A profoundly decent man, Bill will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on April 5th at 2pm, at Burquitlam Funeral Home at 625 North Road, Coquitlam BC.

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me

to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow

of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering

softly down the ways;

of happy times and laughing times

and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve

to dry before too long;

and cherish those very special memories

to which I belong.
