Re: A question for our MLA” (Letters March 15)

As a new resident to the region, Mr. Edwards asks what I have done these past eight years as MLA for our area. I would like to take this opportunity to invite Mr. Edwards and anyone else interested to connect with my community office at 433 Josephine St., Nelson where we will happily provide you with a full reporting of my work.

By now everyone should have received my annual report in the mail. If not, let me know and I will mail one directly to you along with copies of all my annual reports to constituents. I also encourage everyone to go to my website, www.michellemungall.ca, for regular updates and to sign-up for my monthly e-newsletter.

You can also read my regular column here in the Nelson Star and the Creston Advance. Swing by my office anytime to read the provincial news and my activities posted on my office window. And stop by at any of monthly mobile office locations or any of my dozen locations during my annual Bend the MLA’s Ear tour as advertised on my website, community poster boards and in local papers.

I also post a lot to social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, so follow me there for daily updates. Recently, I’ve been receiving a lot of positive feedback on my Facebook Live Sofa Chat series that features my colleagues and I bringing updates directly from my office in BC’s Legislature.

You can also watch the Legislative proceedings on TV, or at www.leg.bc.ca. There you will also find an index of everything I have ever done in the Legislature, such as working to improve local health services and public education, standing up for Kootenay agriculture and jobs, and working diligently to reduce poverty. My staff are always able to print the transcripts or send you links to the video transcripts as well.

Michelle Mungall

MLA, Nelson-Creston
