Never ever have I read a more accurate and touching letter than the one by Dick Murphy! Thank you Mr. Murphy, you are voicing exactly how I feel about bears!
How true, the immigration nation! Having been to the Great Bear Rainforest on the west coast and having seen grizzlies swimming by our zodiac in the estuaries, too busy to feed on salmon to bother with our presence and having been in the presence of the Spirit Bear for two hours on Princess Royal Island, it was a spiritual experience I never forget.
Bears are sacred beings, and I hope that we will eventually treat them as such.
