Rather than spending an exorbitant amount of money to retool our current meters for the new coins, why not install machines (such as they have at the parking garage and at the Castlegar airport) that accept credit cards, bills, and coins, and that print receipts that can be placed inside the car on the dashboard. Far fewer of these machines would be needed and those parking would be liberated from having to carry around lots of coins. People for whom parking is tax deductible would then have a receipt for tax purposes.
