Liberal negative attacks not working
It is time for more decency in provincial politics. The negative campaign style employed by the Liberals in recent ads against BC NDP Leader Adrian Dix and Conservative John Cummings, address neither the issues British Columbians are talking about nor their concerns for their communities’ well-being.
Former Liberal MLA Blair Sufferdine’s recent comment in the Star, calling NDP MLA Michelle Mungall a “drama queen” is just one example of how the Liberals are also attacking at the local level.
The provincial Liberal party needs to understand that using every opportunity to smear their political opponents in local newspapers does them more harm than good.
