I lost my car in a Nelson pothole today.
At least it wasn’t metered so I didn’t have to pay.
Potholes in Nelson are a growth industry I’m told,
so to rescue my car I had to be bold.
I called on City Council, they’d help me I thought.
But they were busy selling licenses for “medicinal” pot.
They told me get a grant from Columbia Basin Trust
so I could retrieve my car before it turned into rust.
I got my car back, thanks to the lost homes in Renata,
but now at City Council I’m persona non grata.
