Canucks win brings back memories of ‘94
The Vancouver Canucks earned a spot in the Stanley Cup final Tuesday 17 years to the day after Nelson’s Greg Adams gave them their last berth with a double overtime goal against Toronto.
Bill McDonnell of the Nelson Regional Sports Council shows off a circa 1993 Adams jersey donated for display at the recreation complex by former Nelson mayor Gary Exner.
There have been frequent references to Vancouver’s last cup run during the current playoffs and replays of Adams’ winning goal.
