Kootenay Midget Ice back in the rink
The Kootenay Major Midget Ice coaching staff started the process of putting together a team for the upcoming 2012-13 season over the weekend.
Forty-five players from around the Kootenay arrived to the Nelson and District Community Complex on Friday for a summer training camp. The numbers included several Nelson Minor Hockey Association players who are looking to crack the squad for the upcoming season.
The camp broke Sunday afternoon with some players now hoping to try their luck with BCHL and Junior B teams.
