Nelson's Alex MacLeod shifts focus to pro hockey
Nelson’s Alex MacLeod has signed on with the South Carolina Stingrays of the East Coast Hockey League.
The former Nelson Minor Hockey player and BCHL standout wrapped up his four-year NCAA career at Michigan Tech last spring. The burly forward scored 23 goals and added 19 assists in his 144-game college career.
The Stingrays play out of North Charleston, South Carolina and are affiliated with the NHL’s Boston Bruins.
The Stingrays regular season gets underway on October 13.
