Soccer showdown at Nelson pitch
It was an exciting afternoon of soccer at Nelson's Lakeside Park soccer pitch as men's and women's soccer teams faced-off leading up to this weekends semi-finals.
The women took to the fields first with the Red Dogs taking on Selkirk Eyecare.
The Red Dogs took the win in their match with a 2-1 win.
On the other field, the Lily Whites faced-off against the Dirty Dozen.
Despite a strong game, the Lily Whites lost 3-0.
As the women packed up following their games, and watched from the sidelines, the men began their games.
Bia Boro took on Real Nelson with Real Nelson winning 4-2.
Red Dog battled Ted Allen's for a 2-0 victory.
The semi finals for Nelson City Soccer begin on Sunday with women's games beginning at 2:30 p.m. the men's games will follow at 3:45p.m.
