After a hard defeat in their first game of the weekend, Nelson Junior Leafs came back with a strong victory over the Grand Forks Border Bruins.

The Leafs took an early lead with two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. But the Bruins evened the score before the first buzzer.

In the second period, Leafs restored their advantage with three unanswered goals.

They added two more to their tally in the final frame, including the final goal with only one second left on the clock.

The Leafs finished the game ahead 7-2.

Tomorrow the team travels to Spokane to meet the Braves.
