Sentinel hosts volleyball provincials

The Mount Sentinel senior girls volleyball team is ranked third heading into the BC Single-A Provincial Championships that open Thursday at Castlegar’s Selkirk College and Nelson’s L.V. Rogers gymnasiums.

Sentinel opens the tournament Thursday at noon against Credo Christian at the LVR gym. The girls will then take on Similikameen (2:15 p.m.) and Whiterock Christian Academy (4:45 p.m.) in the round robin portion of the provincials.

Salmo is ranked 16th and will play three games at the Selkirk College gym (noon, 2:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.).

After the round robin, teams will head into the tournament playoffs on Friday at both LVR and Selkirk in the morning. The march to the final continues on Friday afternoon at Selkirk.

The gold medal match is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Selkirk gym.
