Castlegar eliminates Nelson Bantam Reps

The Nelson Bantam Reps will not be representing the West Kootenay at next months Tier III Provincial championships in Dawson Creek next month.

Castlegar topped Nelson 2-0 on Tuesday night in Castlegar to advance to the provincials.

Nelson lost 7-3 on Saturday night in the first game of the West Kootenay playoffs.

The first-to-four-points series required Nelson to win or a tie in order to extend the series to a third game.

Nelson finished the regular season with a 7-5 record and Castlegar finished the campaign with a 6-6 record.
