Though a five-game losing streak by the Nelson Junior Leafs has allowed the Castlegar Rebels to claim first place in the Neil Murdoch Division, there’s still plenty to play for this weekend.

The Leafs and Rebels lock horns in a home-and-home starting in Castlegar tonight. Nelson needs to claim both games and stay ahead of the Beaver Valley Nitehawks for second place and home-ice advantage in the first round of playoffs that start next week. The Nitehawks will play a pair against Spokane.

The puck drops at the Nelson and District Community Complex on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
