The Glacier Gymnastics Club hosted its annual Glacier Judge’s Cup competition on Saturday.
Approximately 140 gymnasts from Castlegar, Trail, Kimberley and Nelson competed in 10 skill level categories and 20 age categories.
“This was the first competition of the season for many of our gymnasts,” said head coach Sandra Long. “There were many personal best achievements and the coaching team was very pleased with the way the team performed.”
In the performance plus category Selina Kromer-Anton took home an all-around gold.
Georgia Shuel, Jersey Skolka, Rayne Jean and Macy Loutit each received a gold ranking all around in the zone one competitive category four.
Shelbi van Hellemond, Ella Taylor and Aurora Dool, three of Glacier’s Junior Olympic level six gymnasts, claimed all-around gold.
Dafni van Hellemond grabbed an all-around gold in the level seven category and Brianne Stefani also claimed the gold in the level eight category.
In the high school program, Raven Sperling and Fawn Herzig both walked away with all-around gold in level two and Amelia Finley, Elsa Sollid and Tia Berens also claimed gold in the level three. In level four, Sara Tolles regained her gold title.
Five of Glacier’s gymnasts won special awards; Tabia Hartikainen for fastest run on vault, Shelbi van Hellemond for highest dismount on bars, Fawn Herzig and Macy Loutit for best artistry on beam and Jazmine Mangapot for biggest smile during her floor routine.
