Aigne McGeady-Bruce scored twice as the Nelson Leafs hammered the Braves in Spokane 5-0 on Friday.

Colum McGauley, Andy Fitzpatrick and Logan Wullum also scored for the Leafs (15-14-2), who have now won a season-high six in a row. Billy Gorn meanwhile made 28 saves in net.

Braves goaltender Blake Norman was forced to make 46 saves as Spokane (8-24-1) lost its third straight game.

Nelson next visits the Kimberley Dynamiters on Saturday before taking a holiday break.
