The L.V. Rogers Senior Bombers were impressive in their first tournament of the field hockey season.

LVR finished with a 3-1 record last weekend after travelling to Oliver. The team blanked host Southern Okanagan 3-0 on Friday, pasted Surrey’s Enver Creek 6-1, were edged 2-1 by Vancouver’s Sir Winston Churchill and shut out Chilliwack’s G.W. Graham 3-0.

Against Southern Okanagan, Hanna Quinn came out of the gate with a hat trick to lead LVR to its opening win. Later Friday, LVR dominated play against Enver Creek with rookie keepers Johanna Brochhagen and Paige Meissner keeping the net secure.

The next day, the Bombers dropped a close game to Churchill. Quinn had a chance to tie the game late but was denied on a penalty shot. LVR ended the trip with Rylee Zondervan earning a shutout in net against G.W. Graham.
