The trails at Morning Mountain Station were shredded over the weekend during the 22nd annual Fat Tire Festival, which also doubled as the 25th year of the Trans Canada Great Trail.

Festivities began Thursday in Rosemont with a jump competition before moving to Baker Street on Friday for the parade. Races then took over Saturday and Sunday at Morning Mountain.

Top overall results included Colin Simpson and Braeden Onciul winning the short and long course men’s events, respectively, while Kristopher McMechan took the downhill course title.

On the women’s side, Jessica DeMars finished first in short course, Emma Dunn won long course and Alana James took first by default in downhill.
