The Kootenay Rhythm Dragons took first place in the women’s B consolation final at the ATB Financial Lethbridge Dragon Boat Festival on Sunday in Lethbridge, Alta.

The Dragons were competitive in Saturday’s heats, finishing just 4.5 seconds and five seconds behind the winners in their first two races, respectively.

In the final, the Dragons came out roaring with a time of two minutes 42.76 seconds to win, just 0.17 seconds ahead of second place.
