On Friday the City of Nelson and Chamber of Commerce will hold a Stores To Shores business appreciation celebration from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Hall St. plaza, below the new social steps and public patio. Pictured above is Rick Nixon from Itza Ristorante and Pizzeria.
For the first time since the downtown revitalization project started, the new and improved 400 and 500 blocks have opened to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Meanwhile, a heads up for motorists: the Baker and Hall intersection is now a four-way stop, while Vernon and Hall will be a three-way stop.
