TEETH applications for the low-cost Community Dental Clinic are once again able to be processed safely at Seniors Co-ordinating Society at 719 Vernon St. on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m..

It has been a busy and challenging time for our local dentists, dental professionals and volunteers navigating COVID safely for all.Special thanks to Dr. Day, Dr. Pentecost and their CDAs, and the many donations of money and supplies for creating and providing the West Kootenay Emergent and Urgent Dental Care Clinic at the Community Dental Clinic during Phase 1 of the pandemic.

As one of two clinics in Central and Boundary regions able to offer treatment during this time, 250 treatments were able to be done, and an additional 170 plus people were helped by phone with their dental concerns.

To be approved for low-cost dental treatments, please bring your application with proof of income (you are eligible if you have an annual income of $42,000.00 or less) and proof of a minimum three months residency.

Applications are available in the lobby of Community First Health Co-op at 518 Lake St., online at www.healthco-op.ca., at the Seniors Co-ordinating Society office, and at the Community Dental Clinic at 632 Front St. in the West Arm Plaza.

Be safe, stay well, take care of your teeth.
