Supporters of Nelson’s Civic Theatre flocked Saturday to a Birdman-themed pre-Oscar gala to support the society’s community programs. The silent auction alone raised over $6,600. The biggest ticket item was a week at Mountain Trek retreat, which netted $1,300.
