The Black Cauldron and Broken Hill are the winners of the 2021 Nelson Burger Month.

Black Cauldron won the Most Unique and Best Presentation awards for its burger The Shadow Queen, which turned heads with its toasted charcoal black bun.

Broken Hill’s burger Everything’s Gonna Brie Alright was named Best Tasting by the majority of the 3,663 total votes tallied.

Both restaurants won trophies as well as $200 to be awarded to a charity of their choice.

Naomi Takashima, who was chosen from the pool of voters, took home $600 in gift cards as the contest’s sweepstakes winner.

Twenty-four burgers were entered in the Nelson Star’s annual contest.
