Hey there, Nelson residents! As a proud new member of the Nelson Lions Club, I am thrilled to invite you to join us once again for a morning of July 1 pancakes!

Mark your calendars from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and wander down to the 500 block of Baker Street for a morning filled with delicious pancakes and sausages, accompanied by your choice of coffee or juice. This eagerly anticipated event has been a traditional and memorable start to Canada Day festivities for almost 60 years! I’ve been many times as a guest, but finally I’ll be one of the cooks on the infamous Chuck Wagon!

You’ll be able to relish this scrumptious breakfast for only $10 for adults or $5 for kids 12 and under. The impact of your participation goes way beyond your taste buds. Every penny raised during the event will be reinvested back into the community and towards our upcoming Lions Park Playground upgrade.

To ensure the event remains environmentally conscious, guests are encouraged to bring their own cutlery and plates, reducing waste, and promoting sustainability. By making this small effort, we can all contribute towards creating a greener future for our beloved town.
