Hailey Middlebrook and Joli Mwinyi (pictured) represented 16 students from Crawford Bay school who recently participated in a 30-hour hunger challenge. They raised $686 and decided to give it to Nelson’s Our Daily Bread hot meal program.

“Way to go students at Crawford Bay for supporting a vital food security ministry in the Kootenays," said Pastor Jim Reimer. "Volunteers and fundraisers are always welcome. We serve up to 100 hungry people a day."
