The Kukua Pamoja Project and Folk Fusion Dance held a dance-a-thon fundraiser earlier this month at Self Design High (in the Victoria Street Legion building). More than 100 people came out to all-day dance classes in a variety of different disciplines from hip hop to West African dance. The goal was to raise money for the Kukua Pamoja Project which works in Nairobi, Kenya with a focus on development through arts-based programing, preventative health and education programing, and gender empowerment work.
