There's hope one day of disaster will prevent future ones in Nelson.
Disaster Day, which was held Saturday at Hall St. Plaza, featured several local rescue agencies promoting emergency preparedness. Attendees were able to get up close with various rescue vehicles and learn about how they can avoid unexpected dangers.
