Fashion for great causes

Kootenai Moon Furniture, Cottons Clothing Company and Esprit De La Femme Lingerie have heard the call of Second Chance Animal Shelter and the Salvation Army Food Bank.

NELSON — Kootenai Moon Furniture, Cottons Clothing Company and Esprit De La Femme Lingerie have heard the call of Second Chance Animal Shelter and the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Recently the Food Bank had to close as they had run out of food. As well, Brianne, the new director of Second Chance Animal Shelter, advised that the no-kill shelter was forced to close for three months due to lack of funding. Both organizations are now back up and running, but they still need some help.

The owners of Kootenai Moon Furniture, Cottons Clothing Company and Esprit De La Femme got together and decided to help these organizations.

On May 12 the three businesses would like to bring the community together by presenting the Cotton and Lace Fashion Show, highlighting spring fashions from Cottons Clothing Company and Esprit De La Femme Lingerie.  The fashion show will be followed by a light social of scrumptious deserts, coffee and tea donated by many of our local restaurants.

Tickets are available at all three businesses.  Admission is $6 and a donation of a non-perishable food.

They would love to see all who can attend at 7 p.m. on May 12 at Kootenai Moon Furniture at 476 Baker Street.
