After missing a year due to COVID-19, Nelson Nordic Ski Club’s track attack and junior racing teams are excited to bring back their popular annual Pumpkin Hunt on Sunday, Oct. 24 at the Apex nordic ski area.

As part of this family friendly fundraiser for the club’s youth programs, team members will hide 100 pumpkins in the Enchanted Forest at Apex. Children 12 years and under are then invited to hunt for a pumpkin, with our ski team athletes to guide them into the forest.

Admission price of $20 includes one pumpkin, two hot chocolates and a snack around the fire.

In order to spread out participants and make it a fun and safe event, there will be two sessions, one at 10 a.m. and another at 11 a.m., each limited to 50 tickets. All tickets must be purchased online in advance at nelsonnordicski.square.site.

The club is looking forward to hosting families and children again and the event is scheduled to go ahead, rain or shine.

All who attend are encouraged to please remember to bring their own mugs for hot chocolate and their own drinking water. Special thanks to our generous local sponsors, including Save-On-Foods.
