St Joseph’s Elementary School recently held its first annual walkathon at Lakeside Park.
More than 120 children walked combined distances totaling 615 km and shared the proceeds with the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Nelson Friends of the Family. Walkathon coordinator, Sheri Allarie (left) awards Laura Torrans of Friends of the Family a donation of $1,000.
